Are There Any Potential Side Effects Of Green Tea?
Being an avid tea drinker it led me to the question of asking if there are any green tea side effects. The thing is, it's no longer just a herbal tea for hippies as some of you might be thinking, it's come a long way since those clever ancient Chinese discovered it had numerous health benefits.
That long and impressive list includes it's use as a dietary supplement in controlling and assisting weight loss, in diabetes and even as a cure for acne sufferers. The latter actually does not involve drinking it, if your are curious.
You might be correct in thinking that as a natural plant, tea is a safe drink and what possible side effects could it have? Well, there is the question of it containing caffeine and some medical experts tell us to be watchful of the amount of caffeine we consume as it's a stimulant. The simplest answer here would be to choose a decaffeinated green tea variety to eliminate that risk altogether.
However some evidence has shown that by removing the caffeine content, the amount of healthy antioxidants is reduced so that's something to consider.
For me when I examine all the plus points I feel that any side effects of green tea are at best minimal and we should drink it without any due concern.
